Celebrating the Closing of Leeds UK Corporate Games 2024
Last Wednesday, company representatives, team leaders and sponsors gathered to celebrate the incredible achievements of the 2024 UK Corporate Games at the fine dining restaurant Tattu Leeds. It was an evening of reflection, celebration and recognition for the remarkable combined efforts that made last year’s Games truly unforgettable.
The 2024 Games marked the first time the event was held in Leeds, and what a success it was! With over 2,400 participants, represeting over 70 organisations, competing across 20 sports, the energy, teamwork and camaraderie were unmatched. Reflecting on the impact of the Games, Ryan Johnson, UK Corporate Games, shared:
The 2024 Games in Leeds were nothing short of extraordinary. Seeing businesses come together through the power of sport and teamwork was inspiring. Bringing team leaders, athletes and award winners back to Leeds to celebrate was the perfect way to cap off such a successful year.

Honouring Achievement
The evening recognised the exceptional accomplishments of companies and individuals across a range of awards:
- 20 Sport Awards celebrating victories across disciplines such as dragon boat racing, football and netball.
- 7 Division Awards, recognising outstanding company participation regardless of team size.
- The Largest Newcomer Award was proudly presented to Burberry, a company with its HQ in Leeds, whose 88 participants made an impressive debut at the Games.
- The SFL Grand Award was won by University of Leeds with 180 athletes representing the University.
- For the 2nd year running, Barclays topped the Games medal table with an impressive 59 medals.
- Games Champion Award was presented to Adrian French, RDC, who has entered a football team every year since the 2001 Ireland Games in Limerick.
Welcoming New Partners for the Future
The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate new partnerships for the years ahead. We were proud to officially welcome Kidney Research UK as our official charity partner for 2025 and 2026, with a heartfelt speech by Ayesha, who shared her inspiring kidney story and emphasised the importance of supporting life-saving research.
We were also excited to introduce Peak4 and Kitlocker, two new partners who are set to enhance the Games experience for participants in innovative and exciting ways.

The celebration wouldn’t have been complete without the incredible hospitality of our official restaurant partner, Tattu Leeds. From the exquisite food to the vibrant atmosphere, it was the perfect setting to reflect on the success of the Games.
